BLACKIE DARKIE DAY

BLACKIE DARKIE DAY One Monday morning, I entered the class in a black attire and the whole atmosphere was cheerful as we were discussing about the black attire we all wore. The lecturer entered, dull colours of black and drew smiles on our faces because it was a black moment without sorrow. This happens to be an interesting class until a lady entered with odd colours not relating to black. The make-up on her face reflected rainbow colours on the white wall of the class as she sat on the first seat in the class.  Mavis Edinam Akakpo. BACS27195

WE ARE FUN

Its another customised Monday with the creative writers. Adorned in the beauty and uniqueness of Africa.  The serious smiles on their faces strike a resemblance with an extended family at a gathering.  What do they even call it? Yes!! Kaba and Sleet. Africans are humorous but Ghanaians are comedians.  A real therapy for the depressed. But that is just it,  what we really are,  A carefree continent with lovely people.  Not bothered by what has come or can come. What do we do???? We just live life, feel life and enjoy life. CONTENTMENT VRS THE GEN ZEE

Contentment,  a word many fail to understand and apply. It is always not enough. What is it? Money?, Fame?, name it. It is not always enough. The neglect and ignorance of contentment has conceived the extravagant satisfaction of wants in today's youth. JENNIFER NAA AMARTEIFIO  INDEX NUMBER :BACS27155

I AM AFRICAN

Being adorned  with the beauty of Africa, she looked African; the skin, the scarf, the wear and the smile; She is African.  Representing her continent and what it stands for, not even the white man's shoe could alter the definition of uniqueness she portrayed African to be.  This Is a mother and that is my motherland.  This was the beauty of Africa, the day I turned 15 , I accepted I was African. I had always wanted a miracle to say I was Asian; because why not?;  I didn't like anything we did; it was like we didn't want to dance to the worlds tune. The past 5 years of my life has been nothing but accepting who I am, where I'm from and where I live. Noe i dread nothing more than speaking Ill of my continent.  I just can't wait to see more, eat more and feel more of who I really am. JENNIFER NAA AMARTEIFIO  INDEX NUMBER: BACS27155
