What is beauty? Beauty, some say, is the character of an individual, whilst others say it is the outer appearance of a person. The outer appearance, they say, adds more of the person's dressing. Another question is, what makes tradition, tradition? Tradition includes dressing .A lady adorned with a traditional kaba and slit, made of different colours of fabrics. She wore a weina around her neck, which shone her beauty. At the sight of this, I believe beauty actually is the outer appearance of a person. And I was amongst who hated the kaba and slit, because I thought it was a dress code for the old. My hate extended to African print fabrics, because I saw my grandfathers wearing them to the farm. I thought African print was old-fashioned. Little did I know it was the actual fashion. I fell in love with African print fabrics, and even kaba and sleeves, the day I saw this beautiful girl dressed traditionally. Quickly, I went to ask for some African print material from my mom. She was surprised and wondered why I needed them, since I disliked them. The following morning, my mom saw me dressed in a kaba and sleeve with beads around my neck. I had a golden leather footwear with bead bracelets. My mom stared at me while her mouth widely opened. This was the first time my mother confessed to my beauty. I felt my own beauty within, and felt very happy. Now I know tradition, true fashion, and beauty.
